Hen Party Itinerary – Perfect Plans for Your Celebration
Planning the Perfect Hen Party
Planning the perfect hen party requires attention to detail, creativity, and a deep understanding of the bride-to-be’s preferences. Start by determining the guest list and budget, as these will guide your decisions on activities, venue, and the overall tone of the party. Consider the bride’s interests, hobbies, and personality traits when choosing the theme, games, and entertainment.
Next, create a rough itinerary to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. Be sure to include a mix of relaxation, adventure, and celebration to cater to different personalities and preferences. Don’t forget to leave some room for spontaneity and flexibility, as the best hen parties often involve unexpected moments and surprises. Whether it’s a laid-back afternoon tea or an adventurous night out, make sure the bride feels celebrated and cherished.
Hen Party Essentials
When it comes to hen party essentials, there are a few must-haves to consider. First and foremost, a stylish and coordinated invitation is a must. This sets the tone for the party and gives guests an idea of what to expect. A well-planned itinerary is also essential, including details on activities, timings, and dress codes.
Other hen party essentials include a delicious and Instagram-worthy afternoon tea, a cocktail bar with personalized drinks, and a beautifully decorated dining table with place settings that match the party’s theme. Don’t forget to include some fun and games, such as a hen party game or two, to keep the party going and create unforgettable memories. These elements will ensure that the hen party is not only fun but also memorable for everyone involved.
Hen Party Itinerary: An example
A hen night brings together the bride-to-be’s nearest and dearest as she wants to celebrate with her closest friends and family before walking down that isle. A candle making workshop or a jewellery making workshop are both great activities that can be incorporated into a fun and memorable hen party. In this blog, I will provide an example itinerary for a hen night that includes either of these workshops.
Before we get started, it’s important to note that the activities and timings in this itinerary can be adjusted to suit your group’s preferences and schedule and are only meant as a guide. We have chosen an evening schedule but this could easily be adapted for a day time too.. or why not make it a hen weekend 😉
Now, let’s get started!
6:00 PM – Arrival and Welcome Drinks
The evening kicks off on a Friday night with a warm welcome for the bride-to-be and her guests. As the group arrives, they are greeted with a glass of bubbly and some snacks to enjoy while they catch up with one another and relax into the night.
6:30 PM – Candle Making or Jewellery Making Workshop
After everyone has had a chance to settle in, it’s time to start the first activity of the night: a creative workshop. The workshop can take place at a venue of your choice (our space is lovely and can accommodate 20!) or we can come to your location if you are renting a large house. During the workshop, the group will learn how to create their own bespoke candles using high-quality ingredients and a variety of fragrances. They’ll get to experiment with different wax types, scents, and colors to create their perfect candle. Having the right craft supplies ready is essential for this candle making workshop. This activity typically lasts around 2 hours.
Alternatively, the Bride may prefer a jewellery making workshop. Again it can be at our space or yours and during the class the group will learn how to create their own unique pieces of jewellery, from bracelets to necklaces to earrings. They’ll get to experiment with different materials such as beads, charms, and wire. Having the right craft supplies ready is essential for this jewellery making workshop. This activity typically lasts around 2 hours.
8:30 PM – Dinner
Once the creative workshop has come to an end, it’s time for a sit-down dinner on a Saturday night. This is perfect if you are allowing the candles to dry! It is another great opportunity for the group to relax, catch up and chat about their experience so far. The dinner can take place at a restaurant of your choice or a private caterer can come to your location. The menu can be tailored to suit your group’s preferences, whether it’s a three-course meal or a selection of sharing plates. We are more than happy to help connect you with some amazing places local to us.
Sharing these experiences during the hen party adds to the anticipation and excitement, making the big day even more meaningful.
10pm – Depending on the group’s preferences, you can head to a cocktail bar, a nightclub or even a karaoke venue. This is the perfect opportunity to let your hair down and dance the night away! Or if you have a spa on site you could all hang out in the hot tub with. glass of fizz. Perhaps snuggling on the sofa in PJ’s is your thing.. what ever you decide I am sure the Bride will love it.
In conclusion, a hen party that incorporates both a creative workshop (candle making or jewellery making) is a unique and exciting way to celebrate a bride-to-be’s upcoming wedding. By following this itinerary, you can create a fun and memorable night that the bride-to-be and her guests will cherish for years to come.
Personalizing Your Hen Party
Personalizing your hen party is what makes it truly special and memorable. Consider adding personalized touches such as customized invitations, hen party games, and activities that cater to the bride’s interests and hobbies. You can also include personalized gifts and favors, such as monogrammed towels, customized champagne bottles, or bespoke jewelry.
Another great way to personalize the party is to create a photo booth or a memory book for the bride-to-be. This can be filled with pictures and messages from guests, as well as mementos and souvenirs from the party. You can also include a special hen party gift or favor for each guest, such as a customized candle, a bottle of wine, or a box of chocolates. These personal touches will make the hen party unique and unforgettable.
Hen Party Gifts and Favors
Hen party gifts and favors are a thoughtful way to show appreciation to the bride-to-be and her guests. Consider gifting the bride a personalized item, such as a monogrammed robe, a customized photo album, or a bespoke piece of jewelry.
For the guests, you can include a small favor or gift, such as a customized candle, a box of chocolates, or a bottle of wine. You can also include a fun and games package, complete with hen party games, puzzles, and activities. Another great idea is to create a DIY craft station where guests can make their own gifts or favors, such as customized jewelry, candles, or decorations. These thoughtful touches will ensure that everyone leaves with a smile and a keepsake from the special night.
