The oil comes from the Camphor tree, and as this oil contains camphor, it is excellent for relieving inflammation of the skin, treating minor abrasions and also, due to its antifungal properties, can be used to treat athlete’s foot. It is an antioxidant, so promotes cell regeneration and its stimulating properties encourage the body’s healing process. And of course, due to its Camphor content, this essential oil is very effective at relieving congestion. It can be diffused in a room, or used diluted in a facial steamer to help clear sinuses and airways and generally promote clearer breathing when suffering from coughs and colds etc.
Ho Wood is particularly good for your skin – again its antioxidant qualities mean it soaks up free radicals and help to slow down the ageing process. It is antiseptic, so helps ward off the bacteria that cause spots and blemishes. It is also fantastic for oily skins, as it doesn’t block the skin’s pores and it also can help to diminish the production of oil.
Ho Wood Essential oil is well known for its calming properties, and is a great oil to diffuse if you’re feeling low or anxious. It can be used to help alleviate feelings of depression, and is also thought to be helpful in sending you off into a deep and restful sleep. Why not give our Self Esteem Boost blend a try?
