A baby shower is a special event that celebrates the arrival of a new baby. It’s a chance for the mother-to-be to relax and enjoy time with her friends and family before the arrival of her little one. The idea is that other mums can share their stories and advice and literally shower the Mum to Be with gifts in preparation for the new baby.
One great idea for a truly unique baby shower is to organize a candle making workshop, where the attendees can create a candle together as they share their wishes for the new baby.. then when the Mum goes into Labour all the Mum to be’s closest friends and family can all light their candles to send loving light and their best wishes to her and the baby.
To begin with, you can start by selecting a venue for the workshop which is where we have you covered. We can come to you but we have everything set up perfectly at our unique candle bar and can accommodate 20 people in our workshops space. We can provide all the equipment and materials you need and make it run really smoothly.
The great thing is that there is an hour window after you have all poured your candles allowing you to sit and chat in the most glorious scented room and open up some fizz and perhaps play some good old baby shower games.
When you arrive you can all select your candle fragrance from our incredible selection or if you prefer the Bride To Be can select a scent for everyone. IF candles are not your thing you could also make reed diffusers and sprays or if you wanted a longer workshop you could create a few different products.
Once everyone has created their candle, you can then move on to the fun part – adding their wishes for the mom and baby. Encourage everyone to think of their best wishes and hopes for the new arrival, and then stir them into the wax before the candle hardens. This will ensure that each candle is unique and filled with positive intentions. You can even sprinkle on some crystal chips for extra ‘energy’.
As I said earlier when the Mum goes into labor, everyone can light their candle to send their positive thoughts and well wishes to her and the baby. This is a great way to show support and solidarity during what can be a challenging time for new parents.
